Chicago Filmmakers has a brand new class for teens... ANIMATION! Through hands-on learning of some real life cel, stop motion, digital animation, and more, this class teaches the basic principles of animation and how to apply them to different mediums. Students will leave the class with four completed short, introductory animation projects.

**Cell phones or tablets will be used for stop motion projects in weeks 2 and 3 of the class. Students providing their own is preferable, but if this is not possible, accommodations can be made.

Suggested, but not necessary:

1. Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop; even better if you know a little After Effects or Premiere.

2. Patience for fiddly things.

Course Length: 6 Weeks

Times: Mondays, 6:30 - 8:30 PM CST
