QUEER HYBRIDITY: Short Documentaries at the Edge is a special event showcasing short films that use a "hybrid" filmmaking form, which combines both narrative (screenwriting, performativity, fantasy) and documentary modes, told from an LGBTQ+ perspective. Filmmakers include Austin Bunn’s CAMPFIRE (Reeling 2023), Fréderic Moffet’s THE MAGIC HEDGE (2016) and Dan Rybicky’s LARRY FROM GARY (2020), followed by a lively discussion and an afterparty to celebrate Austin Bunn's new book "Short Film Screenwriting," which will available for purchase at this event.
